Man arrested over murder of security guard in Qatar

Man shot dead in Qatar 2022
A source has told Doha News that the shooter was reprimanded by police within minutes of the attack.

A security guard at a residential compound in the Al Waab area of Doha, was shot late on Wednesday evening, after allegedly requesting a young man’s man ID upon entry, residents of the compound informed Doha News.

Witnesses said that the shooter was a young Qatari man who attempted to enter the compound, together with a female passenger in the same vehicle, but was denied entry by the security guard for not presenting his ID.

The alleged murderer then reportedly drove away from the compound before returning to shoot the security guard. The victim is believed to have been a Sri Lankan national, witnesses say he and his colleague were shot more than once.

Based on various testimonies by witnesses and residents, the former died at the scene, while the other security guard was rushed to a hospital.

Doha News has contacted the Sri Lankan embassy in Qatar, but they declined to comment. A heavy police presence was at the scene late into Wednesday evening, while helicopters were seen hovering above. One resident told Doha News that she was not allowed back into her house for several hours.

According to a Doha News source, police were able to arrest the gunman almost immediately after the attack and he has now been referred to the public prosecutor’s office. The same source told Doha News that the gun used by the attacker was unlicensed and that an investigation is currently underway into how he obtained the weapon.

According to one of the compound’s residents the deceased security guard was a father of three and was supposed to return to his home country later this year, as his contract was coming to an end.

The local community is currently raising money to support the victim’s family. Incidents involving gun violence in Doha are extremely rare, hence Wednesday’s shooting has caught the attention of many.

Earlier this week, the Qatari capital was ranked as the second safest city globally after Abu Dhabi, according to Numbeo’s “

Why Ikaris Flies Into The Sun At The End Of Eternals

Why ikaris flew to sun

At the end of Marvel's Eternals, Ikaris and Sersi's love story came to an end, but why does Ikaris choose to fly into the Sun, and what does it mean?

At the end of Marvel's  Eternals, Richard Madden's Ikaris chooses to kill himself by flying into the sun, but what are his reasons for the suicidal action? While the movie has several big reveals and twists that will have implications for the Eternals and the wider MCU going forward, one of the most shocking was Ikaris's betrayal. Created in 1976 by Jack Kirby, the Marvel comics version of Ikaris is a hero, and he's presented as such in Eternals until his betrayal is revealed at the end of the second act.

In Eternals, Ikaris is shown to have murdered team leader Ajak (Salma Hayek) upon learning that she wished to defy their creator, Arishem, the Celestials, and their plan to prepare Earth for the "Emergence." The Emergence would bring forth the birth of a new Celestial (Tiamut) but at the cost of Earth's destruction. While most of the other Eternals empathize with humans and resolve to save Earth, Ikaris chooses to stand by his principles and remain loyal to Arishem. Ikaris turns against his family, who are no match for him, till he approaches Sersi (Gemma Chan)to kill her. Finding himself unable to do so due to his unending love for her, he allows himself to become part of the Eternals’ Uni-Mind, which turns Tiamut into marble, saving Earth.

Guilt-ridden over his hurtful actions against the other Eternals, especially Sersi, Ikaris flies into the sun, killing himself. He still doesn't think that remaining loyal to the Celestials was wrong, but his actions that stemmed from that position have consumed him with regret. He’s sorry for what he's done and yet can't bear to face the other Eternals. He also can't fulfill the purpose given to him by the Celestials. He's lost everything, and therefore in his mind, the only remaining option available is that of oblivion. Ikaris's death is a poetically appropriate demise for the character, given that in the MCU, it was Ikaris who inspired the legend of Icarus in Greek mythology. Eternal Sprite (Lia McHugh) made up the tale about a boy who flies too close to the sun, melting his wax wings and dying as a result. The cautionary tale of overambition proved to be prophetic for Ikaris, though in his case, he chose his death rather than it being an accident.

When Eternals was first released in theaters, there was some debate among fans whether Ikaris's decision to fly into the sun would actually kill him. Eternals are, after all, extremely powerful and durable, especially Ikaris. Unlike his DC counterpart Superman though, Ikaris's powers are not derived from the sun, meaning that he wouldn’t be able to survive the unimaginable heat and pressure within the star. Eternals co-screenwriter Kaz Firpo has since put an end to the debate, confirming that Ikaris does indeed die. In the early days of the script, Ikaris was first going to be exiled (either self-imposed or by the other Eternals), though, during the course of making the film, it was decided that his fate needed to be definitive.

While Ikaris's decision to fly into the sun appears to have sealed his fate, the MCU's Multiverse is now in full swing. There is, therefore, always the chance that a future movie or Disney+ show could include a Multiverse variant of Ikaris to enable the Eternals character’s return to the MCU. Additionally, with the Eternals being essentially robots created by the Celestials in the World Forge, another Ikaris could potentially be made (albeit without his memories).

Billionaires added $5 trillion to their fortunes during the pandemic

Billionaires in 2022

Billionaires added $5 trillion to their fortunes during the pandemic, according to Oxfam, exacerbating economic inequality as the pandemic pushed millions of people around the world into poverty.

Using data compiled by Forbes, Oxfam says in a new report that the total wealth of billionaires jumped from $8.6 trillion in March 2020 to $13.8 trillion in November 2021, a bigger increase than in the previous 14 years combined. The world's richest 10 men saw their collective wealth more than double, shooting up by $1.3 billion a day.
The report was released ahead of the World Economic Forum's online Davos Agenda, which will take place this week after the group's annual in-person meeting was delayed due to Omicron. Oxfam argues that governments should tax gains made by the super-rich during the pandemic and use the money to fund health care systems, pay for vaccines, fight discrimination and address the climate crisis.
“Billionaires have had a terrific pandemic. Central banks pumped trillions of dollars into financial markets to save the economy, yet much of that has ended up lining the pockets of billionaires riding a stock market boom," Gabriela Bucher, Oxfam's executive director, said in a press release.
The combined wealth of the top 10 billionaires — including Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk and Amazon (AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos — doubled during the pandemic and is now six times greater than that of the world's poorest 3.1 billion people, according to the report.
"Inequality at such pace and scale is happening by choice, not chance," Bucher said. "Not only have our economic structures made all of us less safe against this pandemic, they are actively enabling those who are already extremely rich and powerful to exploit this crisis for their own profit."
The World Bank estimates that 97 million people worldwide fell into extreme povertyin 2020 and are now living on less than $2 a day. The number of the world's poorest also rose for the first time in over 20 years.
Vaccine inequality has become a major issue as many of the world's richest countries hoard shots, buying up enough doses to vaccinate their populations several times over and failing to deliver on their promises to share them with the developing world.
Billionaires are being asked to use their wealth to help the less fortunate.
David Beasley, director of the United Nations' World Food Programme, called on billionaires including Bezos and Musk to "step up now, on a one-time basis" to help solve world hunger in November.
The call-out got a direct response from Musk, who later said on Twitter that if the organization could lay out "exactly how" the funding would solve the issue, he would "sell Tesla stock right now and do it."
The CEO did not publicly respond when the UN released a plan.

10 Ways Parents Unintentionally Harm Their Children

Parenting is a difficult task, and while we want the best for our children, none of us are void of error. Sometimes, no matter how good our intentions may be, we still cause harm to our children, but thankfully knowledge can be a powerful tool to help us to strive to be better.

While some of the following things may seem odd, read them through because I promise each item listed has to merit. Children are still in their development phases and because of that, things that we may deem as harmless can leave a lasting mark on them, inside and out. Don’t beat yourself up if you’ve done any of the following list items. We all make mistakes, but understanding the mistake can help you to avoid them in the future.

    1. Putting toys in their baby’s bed.

While it may be tempting to place your little one’s favorite toys in their baby bed, it’s best not to. The reason being is that they may end up placing their face on the toy during their sleep, which could cause breathing issues.

    2. Shaking them.

Every parent will have a night, or course of nights, in which it’s difficult to get their child to sleep. In turn, rocking them can become vigorous, because you want to do whatever you can to get them to sleep, and it can also be frustrating. However, shaking them too hard, even on accident, can cause shaking baby syndrome.

    3. Over-sterilizing their environment.

We all want our children to be safe and free from harm, however, there is most definitely such a thing as too clean or too sterile. The reason behind this is that germs are necessary to build your child’s immune system. Without built immunity, they are more prone to asthma, skin rashes, and a host of other problems.

    4. Forcing them to finish their plate.

Many of us were raised by parents or grandparents that would not let us leave the table without finishing our plate, no matter what our hunger cues were telling us. However, but forcing your child to eat when they aren’t hungry, you are teaching them how to overeat, which will inevitably give them a bad relationship with food. Additionally, they are likely to get sick eating more than they can stomach.

    5. Comparing them to other children.

Comparing your child to anyone else is a bad idea. Not only does it cause them to doubt themselves, but it can also cause their self-esteem to plummet and create an inherent sense of feeling unworthy.

    6. Not interacting with them enough.

Children need interaction from their parents and family to properly develop. Without the right amount of play and interaction, their development can become stunted. Additionally, it can lead to mental illness down the road.

    7. Using a digital babysitter.

Far too often in modern times, parents reach for the convenience of a phone or tablet to soothe their children while they tend to other things. However, the one who pays the price for this – the ultimate price, is the child. Screen time inhibits your child’s ability to socialize normally, and it also stunts their brain development and ruins their attention span.

    8. Forcing them to share.

While sharing is good, children, especially toddlers, are just beginning to learn their sense of what is theirs and also just learning to navigate throughout the world. It’s normal to not want your child to be greedy, but psychologists say that when you force them to share, you are raising them to be convenient. In turn, they learn that the desires of others are more important than their own.

    9. Rewarding talent, not effort.

When you reward talent, or gifts, rather than their effort, you teach your child that they are special and entitled to rewards, rather than earning them. In turn, they may be less likely to put forth effort in much of anything, but instead, expect you to shower them with gifts because they are naturally talented. Psychologists say this sends a bad message.

    10. Teaching them to be extremely polite.

We all want our children to be polite, however, when you teach them to be polite to everyone, no matter what their feelings are, you are sending a bad message. A social experiment was done to study child abductions, and 15 out of 17 children walked away with people who intended to abduct them. Why? Because they wanted to be polite. Rather than focusing on politeness, it may be best to focus on showing them what is safe and what isn’t and allowing them to trust themselves and their feelings about others.

Hajj policy: Religious affairs ministry issues public alert for intending pilgrims

    Hajj policy

    • Pakistan govt cautions intending pilgrims against paying tour operators for Hajj right now.
    • They have been asked to wait for official announcement of Hajj policy 2022.
    • People or groups collecting money in name of Hajj applications will be punished, stated a ministry message.

The government of Pakistan has called upon intending pilgrims to wait for the official announcement of the Hajj policy 2022 before giving their money to any tour operator.

The Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony issued a public alert after taking notice of complaints that some private Hajj tour operators are garnering money from intending pilgrims.

The ministry warned that it has not authorised any individuals, banks, hajj group organisers (HGOs) or agents to receive hajj applications and collect money on behalf of the ministry.

In its public alert notice, the religious ministry urged the masses to be careful of fraudsters, who are deceiving others in the name of Hajj. However, any such person will face consequences as they are operating illegally, it asserted.

"People are advised never to hand their passport and money to any individual or tour operator until the Hajj Policy 2022 is announced and published at the ministry's website, in newspapers and electronic media. They are allowed to submit their applications only after the ministry authorises banks and private tour operators to receive Hajj applications," the letter stated.

The letter urged people to lodge their complaints on the ministry’s hajj helpline numbers 051-9205696051-9206980-82 against the HGOs, individuals in case they insist on collecting money and Hajj applications.

Pakistan faces alarming surge in diabetes cases: report

Pakistan records high cases of diabetes

The prevalence of diabetes in Pakistan has increased significantly as 33 million adults are now living with diabetes in the country with an increase of 70 per cent, according to the International Diabetes Federation's (IDF).

The report, ranking the world’s top countries for a number of adults (20–79 years) with diabetes in 2021 has put Pakistan in third place with a total of 33 million, after China (141 million) and India (74 million).

One in four adults (26.7%) in Pakistan is living with diabetes - the highest national prevalence in the world, the report claimed and said that an additional 11 million adults in Pakistan have Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT), which places them at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Meanwhile, more than a quarter (26.9%) of adults living with diabetes in Pakistan remains undiagnosed, which means that undetected or inadequately treated diabetic people are at risk of serious and life-threatening complications such as heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, blindness, and lower-limb amputation.

These factors result in poor quality of life and higher healthcare costs, the report added.

    Need for accessible healthcare

The IDF says that 537 million adults are now living with diabetes worldwide - a rise of 16% (74 million) since the previous IDF estimates in 2019.

"The rapidly rising level of diabetes in Pakistan presents a significant challenge to the health and well-being of individuals and families in the country," says Professor Abdul Basit, director of Baqai Institute of Diabetology and Endocrinology at Baqai Medical University.

He said that this year marks 100 years since the discovery of insulin, noting that the milestone presents a unique opportunity to reflect on the impact of diabetes and highlights the urgent need to improve access to care for the millions affected. He said that an estimated one in two people with diabetes across the world who need insulin cannot access or afford it.

“We must do more to provide affordable and uninterrupted access to diabetes care for all in Pakistan, and around the world. Joint efforts are needed to improve the lives of people with diabetes and prevent the condition in those at high risk of developing it," Basit added.

Globally, 90% of people with diabetes have type 2 diabetes. The rise in the number of people with type 2 is driven by a complex interplay of socio-economic, demographic, environmental and genetic factors while the key contributors include urbanization, an ageing population, decreasing levels of physical activity and increased levels of overweight and obesity.

Evidence suggests that type 2 diabetes can often be prevented, while early diagnosis and access to appropriate care for all types of diabetes can avoid or delay complications in people living with the condition.

8 Incredible Things That Happen When You Give Up Alcohol For One Month

Even if you don’t drink all of the time, if you like to partake in a few drinks here and there on occasion, even you can see the benefits of a dry January. Personally, a dry month here and there has a plethora of benefits for anyone who enjoys drinking. If you don’t believe me, here is what others are saying (including science.)

    1. Better sleep.

Contrary to what most believe, even though alcohol initially makes you sleepy, the effects do not last. Once you fall asleep, your body begins producing stimulants to thwart the alcohol, and in turn, your sleep quality is reduced. If you’ve ever woke up at 3:00 am after a night of drinking, then you know exactly what I mean.

    2. You feel more hydrated.

And since alcohol is a diuretic, it causes you to pee pretty much all of the fluid out of your body. Because of that, it makes you dehydrated, which can last for days after a night of even light drinking. This is bad for brain health, kidney health, and it makes your skin look worse than it should.

    3. Your liver catches a break.

When your liver is metabolizing alcohol, it can’t do much else. This can result in a backup of fat in your liver or fatty liver. Eventually, if you drink enough, especially if you eat a lot of fatty food, you can end up with fatty liver disease or cirrhosis. Giving your body even a 30-day break can prove beneficial against this.

    4. Your risk of heart disease is cut.

When alcohol is metabolized by the liver, it produces a chemical enzyme called dehydrogenases. And when we drink in excess, the enzyme can cause free radicals which oxidize bad cholesterol, which is then deposited into our arteries. Cutting back for a while can help prevent that.

    5. Effortless weight loss.

And since alcohol is loaded with calories, it adds to our calorie count, which causes weight gain. Even without the calories, alcohol is metabolized by the liver, which prioritizes alcohol over fat. When this happens, the fact that we have eaten becomes stored rather than burned or used for fuel. Cutting back, especially if you drink a lot, but even if you drink once a week, will likely result in unintentional weight loss.

    6. Less anxiety and depression.

Despite most people using alcohol to feel good, it’s a depressant. And after the inhibition (which is what makes you feel good) wears off, we are left with the depressing effects that bring our mood down. According to Lauren Manaker, MS, RDN, giving up alcohol for even just a month can boost mood.

    7. Improved digestion.

Perhaps my favorite reason is the digestive reset, giving up alcohol provides. When we drink often, it causes our body to have its digestive enzymes inhibited, which damages our stomach lining and makes it harder for our body to properly digest food. In turn, we end up gassy, bloated, and feeling horrible.

    8. Improved immunity.

Alcohol consumption can damage our gut flora pretty quickly, making it much harder for us to fight disease, sickness, and infection. Cutting back, even for a short period, can help the gut flora reset and, in turn, help our immunity improve.

Pakistanis lose Rs17.7 billion to online cryptocurrency fraud

    Bitcoin 2022

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has detected an online fraud of USD100 million (Rs17.7 billion) using a cryptocurrency and issued a notice to the local representative of Binance to appear in person on Jan 10, local media reported.

Sharing details of the fraud, the Additional Director of the FIA cybercrime wing Imran Riaz on Friday said that those involved in the online fraud transferred the money abroad via cryptocurrency.

“We launched a probe after receiving complaints regarding a fraud involving billions of rupees being committed using nine online applications,” he said and added that they had sought answers in this regard from a representative of the cryptocurrency in Pakistan.

He shared that people invested between US$100 to US$80,000 in fraud applications. “Those who developed these apps were linked to cryptocurrency,” the FIA official said.

He said that they have sought details of all those linked to the fraud with the Binance cryptocurrency and their crypto accounts would be suspended. The FIA official further shared that cryptocurrency is being used in money laundering and terror financing.

According to details some mobile applications were offering Pakistanis to invest in the virtual currency. These applications were linked to Binance, the leading virtual platform for buying and selling Bitcoins and other similar cryptocurrencies.

However, these applications suddenly vanished and investment of around Rs17.7 billion made by Pakistanis were lost. The authorities said the unique way was adopted for fraudulent activity. The persons who launched the applications had connections with the crypto exchange.

The FIA issued the notice to Hamza Khan, the local representative of Binance. “During the inquiry, it was found that the fraudulent accounts of different applications namely, MCX, HFC, HTFOX, FXCOPY, OKMINI, BB001, AVG86C, BX66, 91fp, TASKTOK, were linked with Binance wallets,” the officials said.

It is noted that the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) through a circular issued in 2018 informed the general public that it had not authorised or licensed any individual or entity for the issuance, sale, purchase, or investment in any such virtual currencies, coins, tokens in Pakistan.

Recently, a report released by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) revealed that Pakistanis had a staggering $20 billion worth of assets in cryptocurrencies.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has also launched a probe into the investment in the cryptocurrencies to identify investors and their source of investment. During a Sindh High Court hearing, a petitioner had on April 6, 2018 stated that the SBP imposed a ban on the use of digital currency despite developing countries are earning significant revenue from the cryptocurrency which doesn’t pose any threat to national interests.

10 Signs Of Genuine Intelligence That Can’t Be Faked

    Signs of intelligence

Intelligence is something many people wish to have- and many people try to fake. However, there are some things you simply can’t fake, and true intelligence is one of them.

Have you ever met someone who wanted everyone to think they were smart? They might use big words, or flex their ‘geeky’ hobby when in reality, everyone knew they weren’t what they tried to appear.

True intelligence isn’t a flex. And it isn’t something that can be faked. Several strong indicators scientifically correlate to higher intelligence. If you don’t believe me, check out the following.

    1. Rhythmic signs of intelligence.

A Swedish research team found that people who were good at keeping time scored higher on intelligence tests and surveys. They suspect that the reason behind this is because timing is important to brain processes that are responsible for problem solving and reasoning

    2. Empathy

A key component of emotional intelligence is the ability to empathize and to see things from the perspective of another person. And while the ability to acknowledge and understand your own emotions is also important to emotional intelligence, the ability to see through someone else’s perspective is fundamental.

    3. Valuing solitude.

Many people think of those who enjoy being alone as being awkward or strange. However, a 2016 study found that people who exhibited greater intelligence were less likely to feel satisfied by socializing frequently.

More socializing means less time to spend in contemplation, or in pursuing your interests and goals. So, don’t feel odd because you enjoy spending time alone.

    4. You are a night owl.

In a study of over 20,000 people, a strong connection was found between staying up late and intelligence. According to the study, the higher your IQ, the later you will likely stay up. The study reads “more intelligent individuals are more likely to be nocturnal, getting up later in the morning and going to bed later in the evening, than less intelligent individuals.”

    5. You question everything.

Intelligent people don’t accept anything at face value. Sophie von Stum from the University of Edinburgh in the UK co-authored a study called “The Hungry Mind: Intellectual Curiosity Is the Third Pillar of Academic Performance” says that “If you’re intellectually curious, you’ll go home, you’ll read the books. ” She also explained that she felt like the “curious ones” had the most potential for development.

    6. Intelligent people know they don’t know everything.

The great Socrates once said, “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” And if you think about it, this one ties into curiosity. To be curious, we cannot assume we know and understand everything. Instead, we have to remain open-minded enough to question ourselves and the world around us. Intelligent people don’t assume they have all the answers.

    7. They worry.

A small study in 2011 discovered that people with high IQs had a different approach to worries than those who did not. The study found that people with high IQs spend more time worrying because they understand the potential threats and obstacles in their way, and want to be prepared. However, those who had higher intelligence were also less likely to worry about things that were unlikely to happen.

    8. They’re adaptable.

Intelligent people understand that to make it through life, we must adjust and change with our environments. Our bodies evolve and adjust, and our perspective has to as well. If you don’t shift and adjust as needed, life can become difficult and it can be hard to manage.

    9. They have self-control.

In a 2009 study, participants had to choose between two financial rewards. They could either choose to have a smaller payout immediately or choose to get a larger payout in the future. Those who chose the latter were more likely to have a higher IQ.

    10. They procrastinate.

Intelligent people may procrastinate more because they prioritize more important tasks over less important ones. In turn, it may seem like they push some things to the side until the last moment, but in reality, they are worried about what’s more important.

Research Says Intelligent People Are Messy, Stay Up Late, And Curse A Lot

Despite the societal stereotype of those who curse being ignorant, a recent study has found that swearing is a sign of intelligence. Furthermore, those who are messier and like to stay up late are more likely to have a higher IQ.

For ages, people have maintained that only those with a limited vocabulary are likely to use swear words. However, psychologists Kristin Jay of Marist College and Timothy Jay of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts have found this to be incorrect. According to their study, those who were more fluent in ‘taboo words’ were more likely to be fluent in mundane, neutral words, meaning that they actually had a wider vocabulary.

Staying up late, swearing and messiness have been linked in our society to laziness and stupidity. Thankfully, now, science is proving that all three assumptions are wrong. So, if you enjoy your curse words, being a night owl, or having a messy environment, have no fears, as you are more than likely a genius. If not, you could be pretty damn close.

Six Of The Worst Mistakes You Can Make While Talking To Children

    Parents children behaviour

While it might seem easy to get along with children, it’s not always as simple as it sounds. Sure, you might be on the same page but kids are very different from adults for a reason.

Being a mother or a father is not an easy task. Some days you’re going to feel like you’re doing a great job while others you’re going to feel like you’re messing up every step of the way. Below I am going to go over some of the mistakes a lot of parents make when it comes to talking with their kids. These are things we need to be aware of so that we can better ourselves and the relationships we have with our children.

When Talking To Kids Here Are Some Of The Worst Mistakes You Can Make:

    1. We try to use guilt to get them to do what we want.

As a parent, it’s really easy to guilt and shame your kids into giving into you but you shouldn’t be doing that. You don’t like when people do that to you, do you? It takes a toll on you even now, imagine what kind of a toll it takes on your kids.

    2. We don’t actually listen to what they’re saying in return.

When our kids are engaging with us, we should listen to them just as they are listening to us. Sure, there are limits to this but hearing them out is crucial for their own development. This helps them learn how to stand up for themselves as well as speak out in general.

    3. We nag them over and over again.

I know, it might not be something you want to do but as a parent, nagging becomes part of your routine, doesn’t it? If something isn’t happening that you already told your kid to do you need to make some changes. You should not be repeating yourself over and over again. Ask yourself internally whether you’re being too demanding or if your kid isn’t listening to you, once you have an answer move forth from there.

    4. We talk too much.

We might not realise it but kids can’t process things the way we adults can. They can only take in so much at one time. Inch them into things that might seem overwhelming. This will make a huge difference in how things play out.

    5. We forget to appreciate their efforts.

While it might not always seem like it the efforts your kids put forth are important. Don’t dismiss them because they didn’t get an A even though they tried their best. Show them you’re proud of that B plus since it was the best they could do and help them improve.

    6. We dismiss their emotions because we are more able to regulate our own.

Just because we think what our kids are feeling is silly because we can regulate better than they can does not mean their emotions are not valid. The things your kids feel are valid and you should be helping them through them not forcing them to ignore how they’re feeling as a whole. This in itself can be a recipe for disaster if you keep doing it for too long.

Nostradamus Predictions For 2022 – Asteroid Strike, Inflation, Starvation, And Cannibalism

    Nostradamus 2022 predictions

Nostradamus was a French plague doctor, astrologer, and philosopher. In 1555, he wrote a book called “Les Prophéties” which is a book of predictions for ages to come.

Many of the predictions made have come true, but not all of them. With that being said, life is full of exciting unpredictabilities, so seeing the future is not a perfect art, but it’s still fascinating to be able to look at how the predictions truly do tie into modern life. Some of these already are starting to transpire now, but haven’t fully happened, and you will see what I mean below.

    1. The death of a world leader.

Many interpretations of his predictions indicate that Kim Jong Un, or another world leader, could die within the next year. There are different interpretations of who it will be, but the quote reads as follows, “The sudden death of the first character, he will be changed, and they will put another in his kingdom.”

    2. The rise of Artificial Intelligence.

Over the past few years, technology has evolved at an alarming rate, leading to much controversy as to the possible devastating effects this could cause. Many prophesies from Nostradamus indicate that if artificial intelligence were to gain enough ‘awareness’ it could end up seizing our entire string of networks.

    3. The fall of the European Union.

“Sacred temples of the Roman time, will reject the foundations of their foundation.” Many people believe it started with Brexit and will lead to war, and then the downfall of the European Union.

    4. Global warming.

“Like the sun, the head will seal the shining sea. The live fish of the Black Sea will almost boil”. Some interpretations read this as a major solar storm that could liquify Earth’s poles, causing our sea levels to rise. Other similar predictions, like earthquakes, flooding, and water shortages tie into this one.

    5. Invasion of France.

“Blue-head shall white-head harm in such degree, As France’s good to both shall e’er amount.” While this is pretty vague, some interpret this as a reference to World War III, a possible French takeover, and wars that tie into the downfall of the European Union.

    6. Inflation, starvation, and cannibalism.

“No abbots, monks, no novices to learn

Honey shall cost far more than candle-wax”

“So high the price of wheat,

    That man is stirred

His fellow man to eat in his despair”

This particular prophecy made my skin crawl, especially after a year of food shortages, supply chain shortages, and other indications of food shortages in general. We can only hope this one does not ring true.

    7. Asteroid strike

In 1555, Nostradamus also appears to have predicted that the Earth will be struck by an asteroid, resulting in mass death.

The astronomer’s prophecies are vague as to when this claimed ‘celestial stone’ strike will occur, but he did write that a ‘great fire’ would fall from the sky.

This is the ultimate snack food — and it's better for you than you think

    2022 healthy recipe

We all may be full of holiday cheer, but we're also full of holiday meals. When the indulgences of the season start to catch up with us, it's time to ditch the usual dinner for something a little more whimsical: a snack night.

When you're snacking for dinner, popcorn can't be beat. It's an ideal "main course" because it's more filling than other snack foods and doesn't rely on a fryer for flavor. It also can be made from scratch in minutes with no special equipment other than a large pot, and you can flavor it any which way you want.
It's not necessary to save popcorn night for a special occasion, either. While you can certainly pair popcorn with a movie-watching evening, there is no law against making popcorn for dinner whenever the moment feels right. Don't fight the feeling.

It's a snack that really fills you up

Popcorn is an unprocessed whole grain: In fact, it's the combination of a starchy core inside a fibrous outer hull that makes popcorn pop. It's also high in fiber, containing nearly 4 grams per 4-cup serving, and contains a significant amount of polyphenols that can help lower blood sugar levels and help digestion.

In addition, "popcorn is a filling snack due to the volume it takes up in your stomach, which keeps us from over-snacking," said registered dietitian nutritionist Julien Chamoun of RD Nutrition Counseling in New Jersey. Popcorn has been shown to be more satiating than potato chips, meaning you'll feel fuller after eating it.
